Chrysler May Put On a New Badge
Xem anh phong to
Chrysler filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. A low-resolution image of the badge consists of a silver winged logo with blue center. The word ‘Chrysler’ is spelled out in the center and between the wings.

Chrysler is scheduled to detail its five-year sales plan tomorrow during a six-hour conference call with reporters. (Will bathroom breaks be permitted?) The automaker is getting ready to reinvent itself with a fresh look, and the first tweak could come in the form of a sleek new logo.

As reported by Autoblog, Chrysler filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. A low-resolution image of the badge consists of a silver winged logo with blue center. The word ‘Chrysler’ is spelled out in the center and between the wings.

Gone is the long-serving Pentastar and, hopefully for Chrysler, the image of an American auto manufacturer out of step with consumers.

Now under the stewardship of the Fiat Group of Italy, Chrysler is looking to refresh its American lineup with smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles – many of which will be rebadged versions of current Fiats. A new logo appears to be part of this transformation.

A Chrysler spokeswoman said that while the company filed an “intent to use” trademark application to the patent office for a new badge design, “that does not necessarily mean that particular image will be the new Chrysler logo.”
